Oman awarded the 132kV Substation to Contractor

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) signed a contract with Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) for the construction of 132kV Mirbat grid station and associated 132kV overhead line.

The contract value is RO11.11million (1$ = 0.3845 RO).

The duration of the contract is 20 months. The location of the project is in Mirbat area around 1000km from the capital City, Muscat.

Scope of work includes eight nos. 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 63MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers, 33kV Switchgear, 10MVar Capacitor Banks, protection System, SCADA System, Telecom System, Electro-Mechanical Works and Civil Works.

Scope of work also includes construction of 132kV double circuit overhead transmission line on steel towers. The total distance 31.5km from Mirbat grid station to Ashoor grid station

Once the Project completed, it will cater the power supply to Mirbat  area, which is growing in tourism and construction of Naval Military Base Sultan Qaboos beside Mirbat
