Saudi Contractor submits the lowest bid for Najran Housing Substation

Ministry of Housing announces the bid results for the project” Najran Housing 132/13.8 Substation”. The location of project is in Najran, Souther region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of fifteen (15) bidders has been submitted the proposals. Saudi based Al Sherif Group for Contracting Company has submitted the lowest bid.

Al Sherif Group quoted the price of SAR 55.1 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

Ministry of Housing issued a tender to meet their load in Najran region. This Project will be interconnecting with Saudi Electricity Company’s grid. The substation’s main scope of work 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 50/67MVA, 132/13.8kV Power Transformers, 13.8kV Switchgear, Protection & Control System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Telecommunication System, Electro-Mechanical and Civil works.

Scope of work also includes extension of 132kV GIS at Najran University substation and associated protection & Control modifications.

Project completion period is 27 months. The project execution will be supervised and constructed in accordance with Saudi Electricity Company stnadards and specifications.

The contractor shall perform the project on lumpsum turnkey basis, includes the design, engineering, material procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of the project.
