NCC Secures 380kV Reactors Project for Hail region

Saudi based National Contracting Company (NCC) secured the project “Installation of 380kV Line Reactors for Hail-2 to Al-Jouf at Hail-2 (9031) BSP and at Hail-1 (9030) BSP.

The location of project is in Hail, central region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The project has been awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The contract value of the project is SAR 52 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Earlier, during April 2019, a total of five (5) bidders has been submitted the proposals.

Project Description:

Project Scope of work includes Installation of three (3) numbers 380kV Line Shunt Reactors with the required 380kV Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear (HGIS), Neutral Grounding Reactors, Surge arresters, etc., at existing Hail-2 (9031) 380kV BSP & Hail-1 (9030) BSP including complete protection, metering, control, communication and modification.

The new items installed shall be equipped with Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA system, communication System and gateway. The monitoring Control and Protection system shall be IEC 61850 Standard based on Substation Automation System.

The total duration of Project is fifteen (15) months.

The contractor shall perform the project on lumpsum turnkey basis, includes the design, engineering, material procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of the project.
