Kuwait receives the lowest bid of $49.4 million for Mobile Waste Water Treatment Units

Kuwaits’ Ministry of Public of Works announces the bid results for the project “Providng of Mobile Waste Water Treatment Units across Kuwait”.

A total of five bidders has submitted the proposals. Kuwait based construction company, Al-Kharafi Construction has submitted the lowest bid.

Al-Kharafi submitted the price of KD 14,980,000 (1 KWD = 3.29805 USD).

Mobile Waste Water Treatment Units:

Early during July 2019, Ministry of Public Works invited a total of eight bidders to submit their offers for the project.

Project Scope of Works include supplying, installation, erection, testing, commission, operation and maintenance of mobile and sound proof packages of waste water treatment units.

The number of units will be Fifty Three (53) units. The minimum loading capacities of the units will be 500 m3/day, 1000 m3/day for the proper treatment of total raw sewage loading capacities inflows and controlling the total hydraulic flow with different sites in State of Kuwait to produce quality of tertiary treated wastewater effluent.

The extent of work shall also include to control the treatment process of shock pollutants loadings such as accumulated sand and grit, oil and grease, conductivity, high COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), high BOD5 (Biological Oxygen Demand) which occur periodically within the Tender period by using any methods or techniques approved by Environment Public Authority (EPA) and the Engineer to meet required specifications.
