AETCON submits the lowest bid of $34.5 million for 380kV Transmission line in Makkah

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Housing (MOH) announced the bid results for the project “Construction of 380kV Transmission line in Makkah”.

A total of six companies has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction Company Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Co (AETCON) has submitted the lowest bid.

AETCON has submitted the price of SAR 129.65 million.

The project has been created to meet the load for Ministry of Housing Projects in Makkah region.

The location of the project is in Makkah, Western region of Saudi Arabia.

This project involves the design and construction of two (2) 380kV OHTL to connect the on-going Makkah (MKH) Housing 380/110kV Substation.

Approximate route length of total OHTL is 93.28 km

The project involves using of four (4)-795 kcmil ACSR/AW CONDOR 54/7 conductor per phase and two (2) OPGW along the length of the new line.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

 The project will be supervised & Constructed according to Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Standards and Specifications.
