ILF awarded design services of Ar Rayis, Yanbu Water Transmission System Project

ILF Consulting Engineers announced in a statement that it has awarded a contract for detail design and engineering services of the “Ar Rayis – Yanbu Water Transmission System (WTS)”

The project was awarded by main EPC, Mutlaq Al Ghowairi for Contracting LTD.

ILF scope of works includes Engineering, hydraulic design, pipeline design, control, and communication system as well as the station design.

The Ar Rayis – Yanbu WTS is the first water transmission system built under a BOOT (build – own – operate – transfer) scheme as part of the Kingdom’s push for privatization and foreign investment under the overall vision2030.

The system aims to transport potable water from the Ar Rayis Desalination Plant via a new pump station to the endpoint at Yanbu PS1D.

The project includes a tank farm with a capacity of 2 x 170,000 m³, a pump station at Ar Rayis, and an 84-inch pipeline with a length of approximately 38 km.

After serving the project as a conceptual design consultant and technical advisor to the owners during the transaction phase, ILF is proud to continue contributing to the project with its world-class pipeline engineering capabilities, statement said.

Earlier during February 2021, Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) awards Water transmission pipeline project Yanbu-Rayis under Public-Private Partnership to consortium of France’s Engie and Saudi Arabia’s Mowah Company, NESMA. (read more)
