Hitachi ABB awarded Sudair Solar PV 380kV GIS Contract

Hitachi ABB Power Grids, Switzerland awarded the 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) contract related to Sudair Solar PV 380kV Substation in Saudi Arabia.  The Project location is in Sudair, around 150km from Riyadh.

The Project was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

Earlier during April 2021, SEC retendered Sudair Solar PV 380kV Substation (read more)

SEC issued two separate tenders for the Sudair Solar PV 380kV Substation. Portion 1 related to 380kV GIS supply and Portion 2 related to remaining Scope of Works.

The proposed substation will be interconnected to the proposed Renewable Energy (Solar) Power Plant at Sudair. The Planned Capacity of the Sudair Solar Power Plant is 1500MW. (read more)
