Bahrain announces bid prices for Metro extension design services

Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT), Bahrain announces the bidder’s prices for the Consultancy Services, Preliminary Design services for Bahrain Metro Extension to Bahrain Sport City.

Earlier, during June 2021, eleven consulting firms has submitted the proposals (read more). Abu Dhabi based RINA CONSULTING SPA has submitted lowest bid.

The firm has submitted the price of BHD 165,528 (USD 440,234).

As per the notification, the Ministry is looking to engage a technical consultant to study the feasibility of extending Bahrain metro corridor from King Hamad Railway Station at Alramli area to the new sports City and the International Exhibition Centre at Sakhir area.

The broad scope of work include evaluation of different alternative corridor, demand study and station allocation, concept and preliminary design of corridor and cost estimate of the project.

MTT has already appointed consultants for first phase of Metro, which is to be constructed under public private partnership (PPP). (read more)
