The Projects will be located in Shagaya Renewable Energy Park (SREP), in the western area of the State of Kuwait, approximately 100 km west from Kuwait City.

As per the notification, the consultant shall conduct a study that will create different Renewable energy optimization scenarios for the available land of the project.

Each optimized scenario for the whole land should accommodate the mix’s installed capacity not less than 3000 MW at reference site conditions.

Accordingly, there will be several designs for scenarios, each representing either the lowest levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), maximum annual energy generation, load peak shaving during summer, and offer grid-stability to the countries’ energy system.

List of technologies options that may be included:

  • Solar PV – Polycrystalline, Monocrystalline, Thin-film
  • Wind – 3 Blades horizontal axis
  • Concentrated solar power- Parabolic trough, Tower

After the above-mentioned stage, KAPP will study and review the consultant’s analysis outputs and select the most appropriate scenario to be implemented for the development of the Project.

The Successful Consultant will also assist for the preparation of tender documents, review & shortlist of developers proposals, award of contract to developer and forming the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
