SEPCOIII signed EPC contract for Jubail 3B IWP

SEPCOIII, China announced in a statement that it has signed the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for Jubail 3B Independent Water Plant (IWP) in Saudi Arabia.

The Project was awarded by the Developer consortium of Engie, NESMA, Alajlan Global.

The plant will be designed using Reverse Osmosis seawater desalination technology. The design capacity of Jubail 3B IWP, desalination plant will be 570,000 m3/day.

The desalination plant will be located in Jubail area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Commercial operation date of the Jubail 3B IWP will be in the first quarter of 2024.

SEPCOIII stated that the Jubail 3B IWP is the fourth SWRO project to be executing in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, it has awarded Jubail 3A SWRO Project,  Jubail Phase II Desalination project and Rabigh Phase III IWP.

The Total capacity of seawater desalination project under construction of SEPCOIII ranks first in the world, statement mentioned.
