Bidders submits EOI for the New Abha International Airport Project

The Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company (MATARAT) in collaboration with National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), received Bidder’s Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the proposed Abha Airport Public Private Partnership Project located in Abha City.

The Project is a Public Private Partnership (“PPP”) initiative intended to meet the objectives from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 Plan. In addition the Project is also intended to align with all relevant major national strategies, specific to the National Transportation and Logistics Strategy, National Aviation Strategy and Aseer Economic Development Strategy.

The Project will be awarded on Build-Transfer-Operate (BTO) model.

The primary agreement that will be entered between the MATARAT and the Project Company for a period of 30 years and covering the obligations of the Project Company for the design, financing, build and operation of Abha Airport.
