Qatar awards $969.6 million Strategic Highways O&M Contracts

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, Qatar represented by the Roads Operation and Maintenance Department awarded the contracts to carry out Operations, Maintenance (O&M) & Rehabilitation of its strategic Highways.

The combined value of the contracts is QAR 3.5 billion (USD 969.6 million).

Joint Venture of EGIS Operations S.A.S – Qatar Building Company – Waagner Biro Bridge Qatar Association awarded the contracts.

The works includes Operation & Maintenance of Civil (pavement) & Tunnels Infrastructure, Structural, Beautification, Safety devices, Streetlighting and ITS roadside devices/Equipments.

The contracts was awarded under a Framework contract for a period of 10 years.
