Oman Launches Tender for Financial and Commercial Consultancy Services for New Gas-Fired IPPs

Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) has announced the launch of a new tender seeking qualified financial and commercial consultancy services for the development of new gas-fired Independent Power Projects (IPPs) in the Sultanate of Oman.

Issued under Tender No. OPWP/2026/16, the request for proposal (RFP) aims to appoint an experienced consultant to act as financial and commercial advisor for the planned projects, which are expected to utilize Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) technology with a generation capacity of up to 2,800 MW.

According to the tender notice, the selected consultant will support various stages of project development as part of Oman’s ongoing efforts to strengthen electricity generation capacity and meet future energy demand.

The tender documents are available electronically through the Nama PWP website. Bid submissions are scheduled to close on 21 June 2026 at 12:00 PM Oman time.
