SEC signed the contract for Jubail Extra High Voltage Substation Expansion

Saudi Electricity Company awarded the project “Expansion of Jubail 380/230kV BSP and 230kV Overhead Transmission line”. The Project has been signed by (please subscribe to view more details) construction company.

Earlier, during January 2019, techno-commercial offers was submitted by EPCs.

The value of the contract is SAR 74.7 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

The project has been created, in order to meet the National Industrial Gases Company (GAS)’s power supply demand from 316 MVA to 400 MVA.

This project scope of works includes, supply and installation of 230kV one diameter complete with one breaker and a half configuration and alter one exit bus of an existing bay to Jubail-2 Substation -1 at JUBAIL 380/230kV BSP, including the necessary modification/additions to the protection and control.

The Scope of work also includes 230kV Overhead transmission line of route length approximately 18.921 kilometers.

The work including complete protection, metering, control, communication and SCADA equipment, SEC’s room inside GAS Substation and remote end modification at associated Substation at Jubail-2 Sub-1 230kV S/S, Jubail South West 230kV S/S, Jubail Residential 380/230/115kV BSP

The project is located in Jubail area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Total duration of project is 20 months.
