Saudi Arabia signed a deal of $14 million for 380kV Transmission line in Qiddiya

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project ”Construction of 380kV Overhead Transmission line in Qiddiya”. The location of the project is in Qiddiya area, Central region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The project has been awarded to Saudi based contractor “Al Haider Company for Trading & Contracting”.

The value of the signed Contract is SAR 52.9 million (1$=3.75 SAR).

Earlier, during June 2019, a total of nine (9) bidders has submitted the proposals. Upon technical and commercial evaluation, SEC shortlisted the contractor.

Project Description:

Project Scope of Work includes, Design and construction of one (1) 380kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line, approximately 20.25 km ACSR “Condor” type conductors per phase, along with OPGW and Optic Fiber cables as part of Portion 1. 

Design and construction of one (1) 380kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line, approximately 23.85 km ACSR “Condor” type conductors per phase, along with OPGW and Optic Fiber cables as part of Portion 2.

Scope of Work also includes dismantling of existing 380kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line

The contractor shall perform the project on lumpsum turnkey basis, includes the design, engineering, material procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of the project.

Contractor need to complete the project activities in 18 months.
