Weatherford secures a deal from Saudi Aramco

US firm, Weatherford International plc announced in a statement that, it has signed a corporate procurement agreement with Saudi Aramco to deliver cementation, completions, liners, solid expandables and casing exit technologies.

Under this contract, Weatherford will provide the services to Saudi Aramco for a period of five years.

“We look forward to deploying our technology in Saudi Arabia, which will save rig time and associated costs, while also maximizing production in one of the world’s most challenging environments,” Weatherford Vice President of Saudi Arabia, Jim Hollingsworth, said.

“Weatherford’s robust product portfolio aligns with our goal to safely achieve production while supporting the sustainable development of the Kingdom,” Mohammed Shammary, Vice President, Procurement and Supply Chain Management at Saudi Aramco, said.
