Galfar secures $24.5 million Fahud runway rehabilitation project in Oman

Omani contractor Galfar Engineering and Contracting announced in a statement that, it has secured a contract for rehabilitate Fahud runway.

The value of signed contract is Omani Riyals (OMR) 9,450,934 (1 OMR = 2.60078 USD)

The project has been awarded by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).

The completion period for the Fahud Runway Rehabilitation Project is 11.5 months and scheduled mobilization period is 45 days

In May 2019, PDO formed a strategic relationship with Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC).

Under this integrated airports contract, OAMC will manage, maintain, and operate the Company’s Airports in Fahud, Marmul and Qarn Alam as per the Oman Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) standards and requirements.

OAMC will also provide aircraft ground handling services, JET-A fuel at Fahud and Marmul Airports with refuelling facilities and maintenance, 24hrs security guards service and runway maintenance.
