EWA receives the lowest bid of $22 million for New System Control Centre Building works

Electricity & Water Authority (EWA), Bahrain announces the bid results for the project “Establishment of New System Control Centre (SCC) – Building Works”

Two bidders has submitted the proposals. Bahrain based construction firm, Charilaos Apostolides W.L.L.(Chapo) has submitted the lowest bid.

Chapo has submitted the price of BHD 8,223,233. (1 BHD = 2.65957 USD)

Earlier during October 2019, EWA invites the qualified bidders to submit the proposals for the project.

The new System Control Centre (SCC) will replace the existing System Control Centre that was constructed in the Eighties of last Century, which underwent several upgrades to meet networks expansions.

The existing SCC will be converted into an Emergency Control Centre (ECC) used as a back-up in case of emergency.

The complete scope of the Project will be implemented under two Work Packages, namely SCADA System Works Package and Building Works Package.
