Kuwait invite bids for Jurassic Production Facilities 4 & 5

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) invite bids for the Jurassic Production Facilities 4&5, JPF -4 & JPF -5 for testing, processing and handling of wet and sour hydrocarbon wells fluids from Jurassic Fields.

The Project location is in North of Kuwait.

JPF will be an Onshore Surface Production Facility and shall be implemented on Build-Own-Operate basis by Contractor with an option to buy back by KOC.

KOC shortlisted a total of 10 international firms and 4 local firms:

  • Petrofac International, UK
  • Saipem, Italy
  • Samsung Engineering, South Korea
  • SNC Lavalin, Canada
  • Tecnicas Reunidas, Spain
  • Schlumberger Oilfield Eastern Limited ,US
  • Al-Khorayef Group, Saudi Arabia
  • Gas & Oil Field Services Company (GOFSCO), Kuwait
  • Spetco International Petroleum, Kuwait
  • Alliances Company National Projects General Trading, Kuwait
  • Manafea General Trading & Contracting Company, Kuwait

Each of the Facility will be built for producing Fifty Thousand Barrels of Stock Tank Oil Per Day (50 STMBOPD) of treated sweet crude (Jurassic Light Oil with 40° – 50° API) and export one hundred and fifty Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (150 MMSCFD) of sweet and dehydrated rich gas by processing /handling of sour and wet gas reservoir fluids from NK Jurassic Fields.

Produced Water Treatment unit, Sulphur Recovery Unit along with associated utility/supporting systems are also part of this Facility.

As per the notification, interested bidders may obtain Tender against non-refundable payment of KWD 20,000. The bidders need to submit a bid security of KWD 8,500,000 along with their proposals valid for 90 days.

The project estimated cost is at $1 billion

Initial bid submission date was 22 December 2020. At present, new bid submission date is 04 April 2021.

Jurassic Production Facilities 4 & 5 tender was originally expected to be issued during 2018 by Kuwait Oil Company.
