NESMA Almoayyed JV secures $35.7million water transmission project in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Electricity & Water Authority (EWA) awarded the project for Water Transmission Facilities for South Bahrain (Madinat Khalifa).

The project has been awarded to Joint Venture of NESMA Water & Energy (Saudi Arabia) and Almoayyed Contracting Group (Bahrain).

The value of signed contract is BHD 13,436,934 (USD 35,736,526).

Water Transmission Facilities for South Bahrain (Madinat Khalifa):

Project scope of work includes Turnkey Contract Package covering all the Water Distribution Station and the associated Transmission pipeline works for South Bahrain Housing Development.

The Contract comprises the construction of 2 No. RCC Storage Tanks of minimum 5 Million Gallons capacity each, a fully automated Distribution pumping station of 10 million gallons per day ultimate capacity.

The project is funding by Saudi Fund for Development.

Earlier, the above project was awarded to another contractor. However, the same was cancelled (read more)
