Siemens secured 380kV and 132kV Substation projects in Riyadh

ROSHN, Saudi Arabia, awarded constructions of utilities as part of the first phase of its first landmark Riyadh community development. Utilities which includes construction 380/132/13.8kV Substation, 132/13.8kV Substation and Underground cables.

The Project has been awarded to Germany based construction firm, Siemens Ltd.

The value of contract along with other contract (awarded to Shapoorji Pallonji for Homes Construction) is SAR 1.9 billion.

Project scope of work includes construction of new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation. Major equipment includes, 380kV GIS, 132kV GIS, 502MVA Power Transformers, 67MVA Power Transformers, Protection and Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works.

Project scope of works also includes the construction of new indoor 132/13.8kV Substation. Major equipment includes, 132kV GIS, 67MVA Power Transformers, Protection and Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works.

Associated 380kV Underground cables and 132kV Cables between the new substations are part of the project.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
