TDP Company submits lowest bid of $76.5m for 380kV Switching Substation

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project, construction of 380kV Switching Substation, 9097. The Projects locations is in Riyadh.

Ten bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction firm, Trading Development Partnership (TDP) has submitted the lowest bid.

TDP submitted the price of SAR 287 million (USD 76.5 million).

Project involves the construction a new indoor 380kV Gas Insulated Substation. It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. Major equipment of the Substation consist of following major equipment:
  • 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
  • 380kV Hybrid GIS
  • 13.8kV Switchgear
  • 2.5MVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers
  • 380kV, 120MVAR Reactors
  • HV/MV Power Cables and Terminations,
  • AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply,
  • Outdoor Switching equipment
  • Control/Protection System,
  • Substation Automation System (SAS)
  • Communication System
  • Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
  • Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
  • HCIS Security System

Project scope of work also includes the reinforcement of existing 9020 substation.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 27 months from Contract Signing Date.
