Madinah’s Knowledge Economic City awards key projects

The Knowledge Economic City (KEC), Madinah announces in a statement that it has awarded key projects at its KEC Hub Project.

Main Mall of the Knowledge City Hub Project :

KEC announced that the structural works of main mall project has been awarded to Al-Saad Contracting Company.

The value of signed contract is SAR 242 millions.

The duration of the contract is 18 months.

Supervision contract of the execution of structural works for the main mall has been awared to EHAF Consulting Engineers Company. The Contract value is SAR 17.4 Million.

Elite International Schools:

KEC signed contract with the MOBCO Group to develop the international schools within the Knowledge Economic City on the land plot of 20,000 square meters allocated for this investment through a long-term lease for a period of (25 years, renewable for an additional 25 years) within the area designated for the knowledge cluster.

According to the agreement, the MOBCO Group, through its subsidiary, Knowledge Tree Company, will develop a complex of modern schools for boys and girls from kindergarten to grade 12 with international curricula accredited by British (Cambridge), American (SAT) and International Baccalaureate (IB) according to the highest international and local standards and practices for a number of 1,700 students.

MOBCO’s target for schools operation for classes from kindergarten to third grade from September 2022 under the name “Elite International Schools – Elite”.

Knowledge City Hub 5 stars Hotel:

The company announces the signing of an agreement with the Hilton to operate a the Knowledge City Hub 5 stars Hotel with a (354 keys), as well as provide engineering consultancy during the design and execution phase through the Hilton brand.

Hilton Madinah KEC Hub will provide world-class upper-upscale accommodation with direct integration into the commercial and recreational downtown heart of Knowledge Economic City – KEC Hub.

The hotel will offer 354 guest rooms, over 1,300sqm of meeting space plus a range of additional facilities including four dining options.

It is scheduled to begin welcoming guests in 2024 and will join the 325 guest room DoubleTree by Hilton Madinah Gate as Hilton’s second hotel to be located within the KEC masterplan.

In addition the company is finalizing the studies of developing a luxury residential apartment tower with 100 housing units that will be linked to the mall, restaurants, services and hotel areas and to the 6,000 car parks.

Knowledge City Hub Project, previously known as Madinah Down Town in the Knowledge Economic City, aims to develop the land plots overlooking King Abdulaziz Road in the northern area through creating a mixed-use urban anchor project.

The land area of the project in its first and second phases is about 186 thousand square meters, and the commercial rental area for the entire project is about 122 thousand square meters. In addition to the development of a public park on an area of 65 thousand square meters, to host recreational activities and programs.
