KEC International has announced the successful completion and energisation of a 380 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line connecting the Mowaih PV BSP and Hodn PV BSP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The strategic transmission infrastructure project has been developed to strengthen the national power transmission network and support the efficient evacuation of renewable energy generated from solar power facilities. The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity and enhance grid reliability as part of the country’s evolving energy transition strategy.
Executed over a distance of 103 kilometres, the project involved the construction of 264 transmission towers and required extensive coordination, engineering expertise and on-ground execution capabilities. The successful energisation of the transmission line marks a significant milestone in supporting renewable energy integration into the Kingdom’s power infrastructure.
KEC International stated that the project reflects the company’s strong commitment to delivering complex infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational excellence throughout the execution phase.
The company further reaffirmed its commitment to building sustainable and world-class infrastructure that contributes to long-term economic development and energy sustainability across the region.
The completion of the transmission line reinforces KEC International’s growing presence in the Middle East power transmission sector and highlights its capabilities in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects that support national development goals and renewable energy expansion.
