L&T awarded world’s largest Oil & Gas Supply Bases in Saudi Arabia

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India announced in a statement that its division, Buildings & Factories business unit awarded to design and build one of the World’s largest Oil & Gas Supply Bases at King Salman Energy Park, Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Project was awarded by Oilfields Supply Company (OSC) Saudi owned by the Dubai based Oilfields Supply Center Ltd.

The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but specified that as per its classification, the “significant” projects is in the range of 1,000 ($133 million) to 2,500 Indian Rupee crores ($333 million).

The project scope of work involves constructing industrial facilities of different sizes, an administration building, ancillary buildings, associated infrastructure and storage yards along with Civil, Structural, MEP and Architectural works.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.

Owned by the government of Dubai, OSC focuses on development and operation of oilfield logistics bases for the upstream oil and gas industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Earlier, Oilfields Supply Center announced that it will invest $570million in King Salman Energy Park.

Earlier, L&T had announced contract awards in Saudi Arabia to build the 1.5 GW Sudair Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project, and the 300 MW Jeddah Solar PV Power project.
