Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project for construction of 132kV Substation in Al Jouf, Northern region of Saudi Arabia.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction company, Al Babtain Contracting Company.
The value of signed contract is SAR 90 million (USD 24 million).

Project scope of work includes the Construction of 132kV Substation, named as Al-Jouf D which consist major equipment, 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 13.8kV Switchgear, MV Power Cables and Terminations, AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply, Surge Arresters, Control/Protection System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Communication System, Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System, Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works.
132kV Underground cable and Overhead transmission line (OHTL) is also part of the project.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to complete the project activities within 27 months from the date of contract award.
