Al Ojaimi awarded $80.5m 380kV Cable Project in Riyadh

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project for Installation of 380kV Underground cable associated with Substation 9097 BSP, located in Riyadh.

The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Mohammed Al Ojaimi for contracting establishment.

The value of signed contract is SAR 302 million (USD 80.5 million).

The Scope of work includes complete design, supply and installation of two 380kV cable circuits consisting of 2500 Sq.mm copper conductor, super clean-XLPE cables circuits with all required joining terminations, accessories and cable tunnel with associated civil works.

Approximate length of 380kV underground cable is 22.5km.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new cable work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractors needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
