Chinese firm awarded Saudi Aramco’s residential compounds contract

Jiangxi Water & Hydropower Construction Group Co., Ltd, China announced in a statement that it has received official start-up order to build six residential compounds along the East-West pipeline.

The Scope of Works includes 22 apartment buildings and community centers, mosques, indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, warehouses, maintenance workshops, parking lots, water supply, rainwater, sewage systems, heating, ventilation, fire protection, power and non-power systems and other living supporting facilities and infrastructure.

Jiangxi will execute the works under EPC basis.

Earlier, during June 2021, Saudi Aramco announced that it has signed an agreement with a private sector real estate developer to build and operate six residential compounds along the East-West pipeline. (read more)

Aramco and the East West for Real Estate Development Company have signed 23-year long contracts to build, own, operate, and transfer six residential compounds along the 1,200-kilometer East-West Pipeline.

East West for Real Estate Development is a special purpose vehicle composed of the Asyad Group, Lamar Holding, and the Wisayah Investment Company.

The six compounds are complete and comprehensive stand-alone towns housing and serving approximately 1,748 employees.
