Projects awarded during April 2022 in Gulf Countries

Following are the major projects awarded during the month of April 2022 across Gulf countries. The projects covers the Power, Water, Construction, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas Sectors.

Tecnicas Reunidas and Wison Eng. awarded $600m Contract in Qatar

Tecnicas Reunidas, Spain announced in a statement that, QatarEnergy has awarded the “NFXP Sulfur Project” (NFXP) contract to a joint venture formed by Tecnicas Reunidas (70%) and the Chinese company Wison Engineering Ltd. (30%). (read more)

NWC awards $52.2m Zamzam O&M Project

The National Water Company NWC, the main operator of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz project for Suqia Zamzam in Makkah, announced the award and signing of the operation and maintenance “O&M” contract for the project “Suqia Zamzam” to Al-Khorayef Water and Power Technologies Company “AWPT,” valued at 195.85 million Saudi Riyals, for a period of five years. SeAH Steel awarded $143m Supply of Pipes Contract in Qatar

Egis to provide PMC for Diriyah South & Gardens Districts

Egis announced in a statement that it was appointed by Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) to provide Project Management Consultancy services to a part of DGDA’s retail and heritage masterplan. Mitsubishi Group to Conduct Feasibility Study for Applying CO2 Capture Technology in Bahrain

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries EMEA, Ltd. (MHI-EMEA), MHI’s regional headquarters for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering, Ltd. (MHIENG), a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, have begun examining the feasibility of applying CO2 capture technologies at an aluminium smelting plant operated by Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C.
