Retal Urban Development Company has announced the signing of a major development agreement with the Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to develop an integrated residential community within Sultan Haitham City, marking the company’s first project in the Sultanate of Oman and a significant step in its regional expansion strategy.
Under the agreement, Retal will act as the Lead Developer for the project, which covers areas 3, 15, and 17 within Sultan Haitham City, located in the Wilayat of Seeb in Muscat Governorate. The estimated value of the development is SAR 3.1 billion, equivalent to approximately OMR 320 million.
The project will be developed across a total land area of approximately 1.3 million square meters and will feature more than 2,000 residential units, including villas and apartments. The master-planned community will also include commercial and mixed-use developments, alongside a wide range of community facilities designed to support modern urban living.
The development will be executed under the off-plan sales model and will include integrated infrastructure networks, landscaped green spaces, retail outlets, and public amenities. The project aims to create a fully integrated and self-sustaining residential environment that caters to both Omani citizens and investors.
According to the initial development plan, the project is expected to be completed over a period of approximately nine years.
The agreement highlights Retal’s growing presence in the regional real estate market and reflects the company’s ambitions to expand beyond Saudi Arabia into strategic Gulf markets. The project is also expected to contribute to Oman’s urban development goals by supporting the delivery of modern housing solutions and sustainable communities aligned with the vision for Sultan Haitham City.
