Kuwait announces the updated accepted bids for IWPP advisory services

Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW), Kuwait in association with Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) announces the updated accepted bids  for “Transaction Advisory Services for the Independent Water and Power Producers, IWPP in Kuwait”.

As per the statement, the following two consortia has been accepted :

  • Consortium led by Ernst & Young with Atkins and Addleshaw as members
  • Consortium led by KPMG with DLA and ILF as members

Technical proposals submitted by following two consortia rejected by KAPP:

  • Consortium led by Pricewater house coopers, PWC with Ashurst and Fichtner as members
  • Consortium led by Rodl Middle East with Projacs International, EDF SA, EGIS Engineering, CMS and SHEMS International as members

Earlier, a total of four bidders has submitted their technical and commercial proposals for the Az-Zour North Phase 2 & 3 (Combined) and AlKhairan Phase 1 Project. (read more)

During August 2020, KAPP announces the acceptance of three bidders proposals (read more)

The Az-Zour North Phase 2 & 3 (Combined)  project, is expected to have 2700MW Power Generation capacity and at least 165 MIGD of desalinated water production capacity.

The AlKhairan Phase 1 project is expected to have 1800MW Power Generation capacity and at least 125 MIGD of desalinated water production capacity.
