GE awarded $31.7million New System Control Centre in Bahrain

Electricity & Water Authority (EWA), Bahrain awarded the project “Establishment of New System Control Centre (SCC) – SCADA System Works”

The Project has been awarded to US based energy firm, GE GRID SOLUTIONS.

The value of awarded contract is BHD 11,936,122 (USD 31,745,005).

Earlier, during May 2020, EWA received two proposals. (read more)

The new System Control Centre (SCC) will replace the existing System Control Centre that was constructed in the Eighties of last Century, which underwent several upgrades to meet networks expansions.

The existing SCC will be converted into an Emergency Control Centre (ECC) used as a back-up in case of emergency.

The complete scope of the Project will be implemented under two Work Packages, namely SCADA System Works Package and Building Works Package.
